Student Activities Conducted Within Department of Psychology
Academic Year 2021–2022:
- The Psikogelişim ve Farkındalık Club was established. (Current Name: Yalova University Psychology Club)
- Film analysis of The Fear of Everything was conducted.
Academic Year 2022–2023:
- A visit to the Veterinary Animal Rehabilitation Center was organized.
- A street animal feeding event was carried out.
- The event “Everything About Erasmus” was organized in collaboration with other student clubs.
- A seminar on “Lie Detection Techniques” was conducted.
Academic Year 2023–2024:
- The event “Are You Ready to Explore the Limits of Memory?” was organized.
- A trip was arranged to attend the play “Me and Myself”.
- The “If I Were…” event was conducted.
- The “Art and Children” event was organized.
- A seminar titled “A Different Perspective on Schizophrenia Treatment” was held.
- Film analysis of To the Bone was conducted.
- The “The Self Behind the Mask” event was organized.
Academic Year 2024–2025:
- A seminar on “Relationship Atom Technique” was organized.
- A visit to the Dialogue Museum was arranged.
- A seminar titled “Career Talks: A Career in Psychology – Industrial Psychology” was conducted.
- A panel on “Social Media and Communication” was organized.
- Analysis of the play “Twelve Angry Men” was conducted.
- The “Not Therapy, Just Conversation” event was organized.
- Psiko-Talks: Generation Z and Modern Relationships event was conducted.
- Psiko-Talks: Depression event was conducted.
- Psiko-Talks: Psychological Toxicity event was conducted.
- A seminar titled “Psychology Today and Tomorrow” was organized.
- A seminar titled “Approaching Problems Through the Lens of Trauma” was held.
Regular “Club Introduction Meetings” are held during the first week of both Fall and Spring semesters each academic year.
