The Yalova University Psychology Department celebrated the graduation of the 2024-2025 academic year students with a festive ceremony. The event, held on the faculty campus, was attended by students’ families, faculty members, and university administration.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence and the National Anthem, followed by opening speeches. Yalova University Rector Prof. Mehmet Bahçekapılı, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Hasan Kaplan, and Psychology Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Sinem Baltacı highlighted the importance of the students’ four years of effort and dedication, conveying their best wishes for the new graduates.
Following the speeches, the top-ranking students were announced. Merve Seçkin, who achieved both the department and faculty first place, received loud applause. The second and third places in the department were awarded to Çiğdem Artuç and Şura Kaçak, respectively. Certificates of achievement and gifts were presented by the faculty members, creating emotional moments on stage.
The ceremony concluded with the graduates throwing their caps into the air in celebration. Graduates captured the special day with photos alongside their families and friends. The Psychology Department faculty congratulated the students and wished them continued success in their professional lives.
