In order to meet the first-year students who joined our department this year and to introduce the department in detail, an Orientation Meeting was held. The meeting began with the introduction of the faculty members, giving students the opportunity to get to know the professors they will be working with throughout their academic journey.
Afterwards, detailed information was shared regarding the department’s functioning, curriculum, and academic program. To raise awareness about international opportunities, explanations were provided about the Erasmus program. In addition, the YÜ Psychology Club, which encourages students to take an active role both academically and socially, was introduced, and information about the club’s activities was shared. It was also explained how the department’s website could serve as a guide for students and how they could access announcements and resources through it.
At the end of the meeting, the students’ questions were answered. In this way, first-year students were provided with a general framework of the department, both academically and socially.
